The PositionThe Chief Executive Officer works closely with the Mayor and Councillors to provide strategic leadership and ensure the effective operation of Central Highlands Regional Council. As the organisation’s most senior executive, the CEO is responsible for driving organisational performance, delivering Council’s strategic priorities and ensuring sustainable, efficient and community‑focused service delivery. Leading and empowering the Executive Leadership Team, the CEO will foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and service excellence, while upholding high standards of governance, transparency and ethical leadership. The role also ensures compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements and provides strong stewardship of Council’s people, resources and long‑term objectives.
