Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (m/f/d)

About the Role

We are looking for aSenior Cloud Platform Engineerto join a dynamic and forward-thinking IT infrastructure team. In this role, you will work on cutting-edge cloud solutions, automation, and DevOps practices to ensure robust, scalable, and secure platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a key role in shaping the future of our cloud environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure the availability and reliability of developer tools, platforms, and infrastructure across all environments
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reproducible deployments
• Automate infrastructure and processes using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Proactively monitor systems, analyze incidents, and resolve issues to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with IT, product, and project teams, sharing knowledge and best practices
• Ensure compliance with security standards and internal policies while promoting innovation
• Document processes and solutions clearly to support knowledge transfer and team success

Your Profile

• Several years of experience with developer tools (e.g., Visual Studio Code, GIT/Azure DevOps), CI/CD , automation, and Infrastructure as Code
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure , Terraform , and scripting languages (PowerShell, Azure CLI)
• Solid understanding of networks, security , and virtualization (Windows/Linux)
• Completed technical education (university, technical college, or equivalent experience)
• Excellent English skills (C1); German is a plus
• A proactive, communicative team player who enjoys mentoring and occasionally taking the lead

Nice to Have

• Interest in cloud architecture and future growth into an architect role
• Familiarity with hybrid solutions and on-premise to cloud migration projects
