Southern Cross Grammar is seeking an experienced and strategic Executive Director of Corporate Services to join the School’s Executive Team and play a pivotal role in the stewardship of the School’s financial, corporate and operational functions.
Reporting directly to the Principal, this senior executive Position provides leadership across finance, governance, property and facilities, information systems, compliance, risk and corporate services. The role ensures the School’s resources, infrastructure and people are managed effectively and sustainably in alignment with the School’s Strategic and Business Plans.
The Role
Provide high‑level strategic, financial and commercial advice to the Principal and Board
Lead the development, implementation and oversight of the School’s budgets, forecasts and long‑term financial plans
Oversee financial reporting, audit, banking, payroll, insurance and internal controls
Manage property, facilities, capital works and external contractors in partnership with senior leaders
Ensure statutory compliance, government reporting and risk management obligations are met
Support organisational strategy, governance, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
Lead and develop Corporate Services staff, fostering a collaborative, high‑performance culture
Act as Unternehmen Secretary and oversee OHS and WorkCover responsibilities

About You
You are a strategic, commercially astute executive with the presence and judgment to operate confidently at Board and Executive level. You balance strong governance with practical operational leadership and bring a values‑aligned approach suited to a contemporary school environment.
You will demonstrate
Senior leadership experience in finance and corporate services
Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting
Experience in governance, compliance, risk management and audit
A proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships
Highly developed communication, influencing and relationship‑building skills
High emotional intelligence and a collaborative leadership style
