Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry / Room Attendant to join our Award Winning Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of our hotels laundry services, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
This position will be for 2 - 3 shifts as a Laundry Attendant and 2 - 3 shifts as a Room Attendant.
Duties
- Operate washing machines and dryers according to established procedures.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items including linens, towels, and guest clothing.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before laundering and report any issues as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines and workspaces.
- Ensure that all laundry is laundered in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies and notify management when supplies are low.
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean linens and garments.
- To clean rooms, storage areas, and corridors as allocated, achieving the standards established by the hotel and brand.
- To ensure guest supplies and other in room materials in guest bedrooms and bathrooms are replenished appropriately to achieve the correct standards for the room type as per hotel and brand standards.
- To report and turn in any lost property following established procedures.
- To ensure the security of keys and guest rooms at all times by adherence to established policies.
- To understand and follow the correct usage and storage of cleaning agents in line with health and safety regulations and manufacturers instructions.
- To use and clean equipment with care, reporting any defective equipment to your supervisor.
- To carry out start and end of shift reporting and procedures as established by the hotel.
- To carry out deep cleaning duties as may be assigned.
- To report all maintenance faults or needs as per established hotel procedures.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness.
- Experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate laundry equipment efficiently and safely.
- Knowledge of proper laundering techniques for different fabric types.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.
