We are searching for a
Research Technician to join the Knoblich Lab. We are an enthstic research group working on the interface between neuroscience and medicine. Our goal is to model the development of the human brain starting from pluripotent stem cells. We have developed cerebral organoids that allow us to model diseases like epilepsy and autism in a culture dish. For more information see: Lancaster et al., Nature 2013; Eichmüller et al., Science 2022; Li et al., Nature 2024. Your profile: We are looking for a highly motivated team member to join our competitive research group. We offer extensive training in cutting edge cell culture, bioengineering and genome-editing methodology. Successful applicants will have at least a masters degree in biology or related fields and proficiency in cell culture. Previous experience in working with human pluripotent cells would be an advantage. Our offer: IMBA is an inclusive and equal opportunity employer. We offer a competitive salary and benefits appropriate for an international research organization. The gross annual salary for this position is € 49,000 (full-time, 40 hours/week) with a willingness to overpay for appropriate qualifications and experience.Subsidized child-care facilities are available at the Vienna BioCenter.
