University assistant predoctoral (all genders welcome) (in German: Universitätsassistent:in)
Level of employment: 100 % (40 hours/week) Minimum salary: € 52,007.20 per annum (gross); classification according to collective bargaining agreement: B1 Limited to: 4 years Reference code: 649-1/24
Tasks and responsibilities:
The Quantitative Economics Division is a research group within the Department of Economics that has a clear focus on high-quality research and is active in a variety of topics in economics, econometrics and quantitative economics. The position comprises the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Independent research with the aim of submitting a dissertation in economics, econometrics or quantitative economics and acquiring a doctoral degree
- Contribution to departmental research and teaching projects
- Independent teaching in German and in English and supervision of students
- Adequate participation in the administrative tasks and responsibilities of the department
- Participation in university committees, in university self-governance and in public relations activities of the department
This position serves the purposes of the vocational and scientific education of graduates of diploma or masters degree programmes and sets the goal of completing a corresponding doctoral degree in economics, econometrics or quantitative economics. Applications by individuals who have already completed a subject-specific doctoral degree or a subject-relevant PhD programme therefore cannot be considered.
