HVAC & Refrigeration Service Technicians

EQUANS NZ is looking for 2 HVAC&R Service Technicians to join our Palmerston North branch supporting our customers in the Manawatu. These are permanent roles, working primarily Monday - Friday with inclusion in our on-call roster, which can include weekend & evening work.

• Minimum 40 hours per week
• Role: Full time, permanent
• Pay range: $33.00-$45.00/hr
• Location of work: Palmerston North, Manawatu region
• Competitive hourly rate, allowances, + OT
• Sign on bonus $2k, Life Insurance and Additional leave days

About the role Equans is seeking experienced HVAC & Refrigeration Service Technicians to join our Palmerston North team. Our team are passionate about Mechanical Services and take pride in the quality of their work and their exceptional customer service. You will need to have a strong focus on providing top level customer service, have a solid understanding of relevant industry codes and standards enabling you to perform technical HVAC, refrigeration and electrical work on building services equipment.

• Participation in an on-call roster (with great rates) and ongoing overtime opportunities are available.
• Diagnose technical issues and prioritise workload to meet customer service levels and deliver outcomes in an efficient and effective manner.
• Ensure customer concerns and complaints are managed efficiently and provide resolution.
• Leveraging the current customer network, identify potential sales opportunities via the provision of cost-effective solutions for repairs replacements and upgrades.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and processes to achieve high-quality business delivery objectives and outcomes to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Pro-actively strengthen customer relationships and create opportunities within the EQUANS business and community.

Technical qualifications and experience

• Relevant Trade Qualifications.
• EWRB registration as an Electrical Services Technician or the ability to obtain according to educational availability timeframes. A minimum 3 years experience with:
  • Proven experience in the commercial and industrial service, maintenance and installation of equipment within the refrigeration and building services industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with controls and building management systems.
• Excellent ability to build effective relationships with clients.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly relate with clients and peers.
• Current clean NZ drivers licence, or the ability to obtain one.
