OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Installing, maintaining, and repairing cable infrastructure for clients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Matric
- 3-4 years previous work experience as a cable technician
- Valid drivers license
- Good understanding and performing installations, maintenance, and repairing cable infrastructure such as Cat 5, Cat 5e, telephone & intercoms, CCTV and Cat 6.
- Knowledge to setup and commission Intercoms, CCTV, Wi-Fi, PBX, Routers and related internet technology devices will be advantage.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and solve any problems that may arise.
- Ability to work at heights. Adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Ability to identify independent colours and learn colour codes.
- Must be computer literate and have the basic understanding of IT and IT terminology.
- Willingness to travel
