We are seeking an Area Manager to lead and inspire a team of talented managers and staff in the KZN and surrounding areas. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing retail processes, driving business growth, and maintaining exceptional service standards across your assigned stores.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a team of managers and staff in our Jam stores, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee operational efficiency and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Recruit, train, and manage staff. Handle staff scheduling, stocktake planning, disciplinary actions, and employee relations (ER) cases.
- Ensure that visual merchandising standards are maintained in the store, including the display of new lines, promotions, and the overall store environment.
- Monitor and enforce customer service standards, ensuring that teams meet the companys high service expectations.
- Implement strategies to drive business performance, ensuring targets are met. Analyze performance metrics and develop actionable improvement plans.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 3-5 years retail management experience at area management level.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Drivers License (code B).
- Matric.
- Must be willing to travel regularly between store locations.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to drive sales and improve operational efficiencies.
- Excellent communication and people management abilities.
- Experience in stock control, merchandising, and retail financials.
- Must have solid IR skills.
- Strong administration skills.
