DutiesWe are seeking a Research Scientist with expertise and experience associated with crop genetics. This individual will lead a field-based science program leveraging genetic diversity, and to develop pulse crop species trait and germplasm innovation solutions. The individual would work in a network of science experts in various science disciplines. The incumbent will contribute to a working environment that fosters collegiality, diversity, and teamwork. The Research Scientist will be part of a multidisciplinary team of science professionals across sites in the Canadian Prairies, and will be located at the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) Saskatoon Research and Development Centre (RDC). This role involves active collaboration with AAFC scientists and academic professionals, as well as translating innovations from Omics field of science into the Pulse crop genetics, along with other federal and provincial departments. The incumbent will participate in the transfer of scientific knowledge and technology to partners, clients and the general public. The Research Scientist will supervise technical staff and may serve on graduate student committees and potentially co-supervise graduate students.

- Plant Physiology

EXPERIENCE: Experience in the design and implementation of scientific research as it relates to the science discipline(s). Experience in scientific data management and FAIR principles as it relates to the science discipline(s).
