- To ensure the compliance of the Microbiology department activities.
- To coordinate with other department functions for testing requirements.
- Sampling, Microbiological and chemical analysis of Water.
- Sampling of raw materials and packing materials
- Environmental monitoring of Microbiology lab & production area.
- Testing of In-process, Finished products and raw materials as per the specifications & test methods.
- To maintain current Good Laboratory Practices in the laboratory.
- Microbiological Method validations for products.
- Monitoring of Drains, Personnels, compressed air.
- To check and maintain department, premises, equipment and instruments.
- Subculture maintenance, Inoculum Preparation.
- Media preparation, sterilization, decontamination and documentation.
- Gram Staining, identification of microorganisms.
- Operation of laboratory equipments in Microbiology, Biological indicator study for autoclaves.
- Temperature monitoring of laboratory, Incubators and refrigerators.
- Growth promotion test of media, receipt of media & stock maintenance.
- Microbial Assay of products.
- Disinfectant efficacy test and preparation of disinfectants.
- Swab Sampling and testing.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the laboratory.
