Internship “Full-Stack Development for Threat Analysis”

Our Center for Digital Safety & Security located in Vienna invites applications for an internship. Our experts from the Center for Digital Safety & Security are developing state-of-the-art information and communication technologies to ensure that our systems are highly secure and reliable in the context of comprehensive digitalisation and global networking. Our research field Dependable Systems Engineering (DSE) within the Competence Unit “Security and Communication Technologies” is working on developing methodologies, tools and standards for increasing, verifying and validating the dependability of software and systems - during conception, development, certification and operation. Concretely, we focus on the development of innovative methods for verification, runtime verification and testing of autonomous systems. INTERNSHIP “FULL-STACK DEVELOPMENT FOR THREAT ANALYSIS”

CENTER FOR DIGITAL SAFETY & SECURITY

• Under the guidance of our interdisciplinary team, you will support in implementing, integrating, and evaluating the latest methods into a security-by-design solution.
• With your support, we will work on the development of an innovate threat analysis tool capable of automatically identifying security threats within a modelled system.
• You will learn how to conduct research as well as how to perform implementation within a team.
• You will gain experience in the development and use of REST APIs, database management and frontend-development.

• You support us in our international project and get exciting insights into our technological environment.
• You will have not only the opportunity to discuss your work experiences and results with experienced scientific peers, but also to connect with other bachelors, masters or PhD students.

Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner:

• You are studying in the field of Computer Science, Informatics / Software-Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
• You have good programming skills in one or more languages, preferably in Java and Typescript/JavaScript
• Interest in the conception of scientific studies and application-oriented questions of the industry
• Interest to work in a multidisciplinary team and collaborate on different topics
• Good verbal and written English and German skills

What to expect:

• Duration of the internship: minimum 2 months
• Start date: between April and September 2025 - However there is some flexibility concerning the start-date
A remuneration of EUR 1.415,
