Reporting to the Deputy Head, the role covers the teaching of Chemistry from Primary through to Grade 12. The post holder will require the ability to relate well to, and communicate effectively with, parents, staff and pupils. Teachers are expected to contribute in general to the high academic standards and disciplinary ethos of the school, and to follow its policies. They should seek to make a real contribution to their academic department and the co-curricular life of the school. They are responsible for ensuring all pupils make excellent progress and find learning enjoyable and challenging.

The post attracts a competitive salary (£47,000 - £63,000) UK gross -equivalent package before tax and benefits appropriate for the experience, skills and personal circumstances of the successful candidate and will include:

The post is subject to applicants providing a satisfactory current Police Clearance Certificate. In addition, candidates are requested to provide a police clearance certificate from each country they have worked in. Two satisfactory professional references will also be required.

If successful and if applicable for visa purposes, applicants will need to supply relevant degree certificates, university transcripts and proof of being a ‘full time student. Some of these documents will need to be attested by you at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Oman Embassy in the candidates home country.
