Volunteers have many skills and life experiences that can help our residents to engage in the lifestyle program, with activities that suit their interests and boost their health and well-being.
Staff and volunteers work together to shape a lifestyle program that offers the best for our residents.
Depending on the Residential Care home and demand from residents, Leisure and Lifestyle volunteers may be able to assist with:
- Crafting groups
- Social groups
- Gardening groups
- Walking groups
- Special activities, including using wheelchairs to assist residents
- Companionship such as chats over coffee, garden walks and reminiscing over photo albums
- Entertainment and concerts
- Pet visits
- Beauty and nail therapy
