Your mission Are you eager to kickstart your career in DevOps and learn from a team of experienced engineers? As a DevOps Intern at Bitpanda, youll have the chance to dive into modern cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and automation technologies. Work alongside our senior engineers to ensure our platform remains scalable, secure, and high-performing—while building the foundations for a successful career in DevOps.

What youll do

• Assist in infrastructure development: Collaborate with the DevOps team to build, maintain, and improve our AWS-based infrastructure (EC2, RDS, EKS, KMS, etc.).
• Learn about container orchestration: Get hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, and Istio to support internal projects and production environments.
• Contribute to automation: Explore Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, ArgoCD) to help streamline feature development and deployments.
• Support monitoring and alerting: Work with tools like Datadog, Opsgenie, and AI-driven monitoring solutions to ensure system stability and high performance.
• Learn and grow: Develop familiarity with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis) and streaming platforms such as Kafka, while expanding your skills in Python or Golang.

Who you are

• Pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Foundational understanding of Linux environments, basic scripting (e.g., Bash, Python), and version control (Git).
• Eager to learn about containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud computing (AWS).
• Familiarity with any IaC or CI/CD tools (Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD) is a plus—but a genuine willingness to learn is most important.
• Team player who can collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
