Business Unit Manager Advanced Materials (f/m/d) - Composites, Converters, Compounders

IMCD South East Europe is looking for an ambitious, talented person seeking a commercial career with technical competence. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Chemistry / Polymer Technology or a related subject, and a proven track record in a commercial role in an (inter)national plastics ingredients environment. Experience with the CRM System Salesforce is a big plus. The person will be passionate about the plastics market and will have demonstrated a previous track record of business success in this sector, and a strong understanding of consumer trends. He/she has sound management experience and should be able to encourage and build team spirit among staff, bringing about mutual respect and cooperation. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical and business management skills as well as argumentation and communication skills. He/she also has a hands-on mentality and is driven and assertive. He/she is able to present his/her motivation for change in an appealing and precise way. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader with an open mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit. He/she will also be used to working in international cross functional teams. The position The Business Unit Manager will be accountable for:

• Building and further developing strong relationships with our suppliers and customers
• Setting out the strategic growth plan for the Advanced Materials business, building on trends of the industries
• Effective leadership of the sales team
• Responsible for training and mentoring staff; motivating them for effective performance for the general growth of the Business Unit
• Delivering the budgeted financial targets of the business unit
• Pursuing potential new supply partners to further enhance the existing portfolio of suppliers
• Proactively network with BU Manager peers within the IMCD group of companies
• Analyze and explore market trends; identifying new opportunities in assigned region

The Business Unit Manager reports to the MD of IMCD South East Europe and also has a reporting line to the Business Group Director Advanced Materials.
