We are seeking an enthstic and driven Lab Technician - Tech Service Coating Additives to join our Global Tech Service team as a hands-on contributor supporting customer-focused laboratory work and formulation projects! By working collaboratively with the team, you will test and evaluate additives for coating applications, provide innovative solutions to customer challenges, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. In this role, you will also perform competitive product testing, building key knowledge to enhance differentiation and drive success in the coating additives market.

• Conduct laboratory tests to evaluate coating additives.
• Benchmark coating additives against competitor products.
• Independently plan and execute lab trials and studies based on customer or team requests.
• Prepare high-quality, detailed reports to effectively communicate findings and results.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all work performed in the lab.
• Stay current with relevant testing methods, standards, and technologies applied in the laboratory.
• Collaborate with the team to integrate smoothly into ongoing lab activities.
• Uphold and adhere to high safety standards while performing all laboratory tasks.

• Bachelors degree or Apprenticeship as a Lab Technician in coating technologies or related fields such as chemistry or physics.
• Hands-on experience with formulation preparation, preferably in coatings.
• Strong understanding of, or eagerness to learn, testing methods for coatings.
• Proven ability to plan, execute, and document complex laboratory trials.
• Motivated to grow and develop as an expert in the field of coating additives.
• Ability to translate customer issues into actionable observations and measurable outcomes in the lab.
• Excellent communication skills for effectively conveying technical information both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in English and German, both written and spoken.
